The Giving Tree: November 5th – December 11th 2022
Project Details
The Eugene Active 20-30 club is excited to once again be doing the Giving Tree at the Valley River Center. The Giving Tree is an annual project the club does to provide holiday presents for children that might otherwise not receive gifts this holiday season. Gifts include: clothing, toys, electronics, outdoor and sporting equipment, and much more.
The Giving Tree is still going strong! If you’d like to help make the holidays a little brighter for kids in Lane County, stop by Valley River Center and pick out an ornament this holiday season 2022.
In 2021, we proudly distributed more than 2,200 holiday gifts for children in our community!
Now, in our 21st year of Giving Tree, we are happy to continue this incredible tradition in partnership with Valley River Center. The trees in Valley River Center are located outside of the JC Penney mall entrance near the Cafe Aroma coffee shop.
For 2022, the tree will be up starting November 5th and gifts need to be returned by December 11th [extended deadline]. The preferred date for gifts to be returned is Friday, December 9th, but we are monitoring the bin throughout the weekend as we still have tags on the trees. This will give extra time for the community to shop and get to the mall to return the gifts.
This year, we will also be taking financial donations. Gifts typically range from $15-$30. If you or your company would be interested in donating, you can either:
